First Alphagamer live stream on Youtube

Hi all,

Small milestone, nevertheless a milestone!

Yesterday I did a 1 hour live stream on Youtube for the first time! I played Diablo 4, farming boss materials. Please see the stream below, please note this is my first stream and there is a lot to improve! But it was fun nevertheless!

Stay tuned for more streams including Diablo 4 clan streams and hopefully more community related streams in the future.

First Live Stream - Diablo 4 farming boss materials

About my streaming experience and setup.

I have been working on this in the background for a while now. It started with recording gaming footage already a while ago but I have a decent setup for streaming as well so I thought it would be a good time to start streaming.

I am using 2 laptops with an Elgato HD60 S+. My old gaming laptop is dedicated for recording / streaming using OBS. This is a Predator Helios 300 with a GTX 1660Ti GPU. My gaming laptop is a Lenovo Legion with an RTX 4090 GPU.

I have an external screen on my gaming laptop (an LG 27GL850) which I use at a resolution of 3840x2160, without issues. I normally play (and record) Diablo 4 at this resolution as well, knowing that OBS downscales it to 1080p.

The weird thing is that when I start streaming my Lenovo starts to have performance issues in Diablo 4. The game gets choppy and laggy and become unplayable. The Streaming laptop is perfectly fine, and records and streams really well (no dropped frames or lag or anything). I downscaled the resolution which seems to work better but I am not happy with the result as it is not sharp enough… so I will need to do some more digging into why this is happening.

Let me know if you think you know why this is happening
