The Beastman of Farum Azula resides at the end of the Groveside Cave that can be found in the starting area of Limgrave. This boss is known for its aggressive melee attacks and powerful combo chains.
Description
The Beastman of Farum Azula is likely one of the first bosses players will face in Elden Ring. Wielding a large axe, this boss employs a variety of attacks, often initiating with a charging attack as soon as the player enters the arena. It then transitions into relentless combo attacks, which can overwhelm unprepared players.
Blocking its attacks is generally ineffective, as its strikes are strong enough to deplete stamina and leave players vulnerable. Instead, a defensive strategy focused on dodging is more effective. Pay attention to the Beastman’s attack patterns, after it finishes a combo, there will be an opening to counterattack.
Players preferring ranged combat can maintain distance and use bows or crossbows. The Beastman is particularly weak to fire, making fire arrows or flame bolts an excellent choice. For Samurai characters, starting with five fire arrows provides a significant advantage.
