Introduction
Limgrave is the first major region players will explore in Elden Ring. This area serves as the introductory zone for the game, featuring diverse environments, early challenges, and key locations that set the stage for the rest of the adventure. Players will enter Limgrave from the Stranded Graveyard, a small area that introduces them to the first Site of Grace and provides access to the Cave of Knowledge, a tutorial zone that introduces core mechanics such as guarding, dodging, attacking, and interacting with Sites of Grace.
The region itself is marked by its varied terrain: forested areas, rolling hills, sharp cliffs, and swamps. Players will face a mix of enemies and environmental hazards, preparing them for the greater challenges ahead.

Limgrave Map Fragments
The map of Limgrave consists of two map fragments: West Limgrave Map Fragment and East Limgrave Map Fragment. Collecting both fragments reveals the full map of Limgrave, highlighting key areas such as Stormveil Castle in the north, Stormhill to the south, and Mistwood to the east. Below is a map with markers indicating where each fragment can be found.

West Limgrave Map Fragment
The West Limgrave Map Fragment is located at the Gatefront Ruins, a military camp just east of the Gatefront Site of Grace. Follow the road through the ruins, and you’ll see a tall pillar with highlighted markings on the left side. At the base of the pillar lies a key item marked by the familiar haze. This is the West Limgrave Map Fragment.
East Limgrave Map Fragment
The East Limgrave Map Fragment is found in Mistwood, just south of the Third Church of Marika. Continue along the road into the woods, and you’ll encounter a lit pillar with distinct markings on the left. At the base of the pillar lies a key item, identifiable by the characteristic white and purple flare. However, proceed with caution, as a large bear is nearby, sharpening its claws on a tree close to the pillar.
